Cleaning The Hawk

Just got back from a two week shoot in South America for the Dakar Rally, the harsh environment of desert, pampas and dunes has caused lots of crud to get into my Hawk. I was able to separate two parts of the Hawk and do a decent job cleaning (sand and dirt in threads) but the opposite end is not removable. Can I send this to you for a proper cleaning or is there a trick to cleaning and ridding myself of the gritty focus?
